- Tell us something about yourself, your background:
An elementary school teacher, with 20 years teaching experience. Born and bred in Singapore, with two kids, two dogs and a faithful and loving spouse of 25 years. I have lived all my life nurturing and guiding students to believe in themselves and always discover their innate gifts and talents.
- List your ventures with a brief explanation of each:
As an educator, it is pertinent to build on your niche, for me it was writing. I decided to work on my first collection of poems and published a book.’ The Unheard Voice of a Rose through poetry and prose “This book was birthed during the Covid19 pandemic and it’s a testimony to use challenges as opportunities to build on our innate strength and creativity. It was promoted by my publisher from the UK, MW Editorials on LinkedIn and is currently on sale on Amazon. To buy click HERE
- How/Why did you start as an entrepreneur? What set you off?
In the early years of my career, I founded a global project with a brilliant educator from America. This programme called the Global Learning Exchange (GLE) was featured in both Singapore and the USA. It was a memorable project that saw two continents share useful lesson ideas leveraging on Skype and was housed in Moodle. We had tremendous joy working on this global collaboration as educators. The main objective of the programme was to allow students to enjoy cultural exchanges through effective collaboration using sound pedagogical tools of teaching. We shared our project on a few global platforms specifically at International Conferences.

- Tell us a bit more about each of your ventures:
Global Learning Exchange caught the attention of SKYPE and we were invited to use SKYPE during at its beta testing platform. SKYPE featured Global Learning Exchange in one of its outreach programmes to encourage global collaborations among schools. Through this, I found an impetus to reach out and work with educators from all walks of life which certainly helped me in my growth and as an educator.
