  • Tell us something about yourself, your background:

I am the founder of Foxhound, a creative digital marketing agency.

I graduated cum laude with a Computer Science degree with a minor in psychology. I became very interested in how people interacted with tech, and more broadly, with brands while at college.

After getting out of school, I worked as a web developer, designer, and social media manager. Finally, I began working as a SEO content specialist, working as a ghost-writer creating content featured in publications like TechCrunch and Huffington Post.

I founded Foxhound because I realized that there was a gap between technical and creative processes that I believed my company could fill.

  • Tell us about your venture with a brief explanation:

Foxhound – a creative digital marketing firm. We merge meaning and metrics, providing a new way to approach SEO, PPC, and content strategy.

We provide branding services, content marketing services, as well as web design and app creation. We recently dove into digital publishing as well, using principles of agile design and development for our publishing efforts.

  • How/Why did you start as an entrepreneur? What set you off?

I found a fantastic partner in Samuel Knox. He shared this vision of combining the metrics-based approach that most tech companies use with a more intuitive, creative approach that creative agencies employ.

We both found that so many great companies were creating lifeless brands and uninspiring tech because they simply couldn’t bridge this gap — the gap between technology and creativity.

In the companies we worked for, we found work was done in a vacuum, in silos, and that this caused so much to be lost in the process. By having a more open approach to marketing, we could create even greater opportunities.

  • Tell us a bit more about your venture:

We’ve been in the marketing space for a while. We’ve also released apps for clients and for our company, distributed dozens of press releases, and launched eCommerce ventures.  Most recently, we’ve launched a digital publishing service to great success. We leveraged our knowledge of PR and earned media to help launch this part of Foxhound.

Our first creative fiction publication, How to See a Man About a Dog hit the #1 bestseller spot in its niche during our free book promotion on Kindle. This success helped us experiment and to further define a broader digital marketing strategy.
