List your ventures with a brief explanation of each:
- Left home at age of 16. Completed an electrical trade in Newcastle. Moved to the Gold Coast Queensland and worked as an electrician in the industry combining teaching at TAFE as well as working for my self. After separating for the third time, life took on new meaning
How did you get to where you are? What set you off?
- It was strange how I ended up with this guy as I was collecting an office table. He informed me that he was a casting agent in the film and TV commercial industry. I signed up and was assigned a job in Sydney with no chance of returning due to lockdown at the time. I commenced working on line while managing my business interstate only to let it go by the way side. I managed to create a mobile app for men wellbeing alas it is needing more work. It started though after attending a men’s retreat and listening to the men and the tone in their voices of each man I encountered. It was as if I had to make a difficult decision to make a better choice with my life.
Tell us a bit more about each of your ventures:
- The choice to live in Sydney while my children live in another state was not easy. Given the abuse endured by my ex partner at the time it was for the best. The app was a good start. Then came the book “loneliness in the pocket” which seemed a pipe dream but some how managed to come to fruition. Then money became scarce so I returned to the education sector within my industry. It had been something of a challenge just to make it through the system. I have been working hard to share my knowledge and experiences with people young and old. While doing all this the idea of a YouTube channel a TicTok page, a Linkin profile as well as the Facebook and instagram platforms all seem to distract from my main aim. Saving a life. Sounds a like a big task but I like the idea that just personal sees that life is worth living then I have made the right choice.
Any other information:
- Being grateful is hard given the circumstances that we face day to day. Just to be able to breathe and live is an excellent choice.
